Govt Greenlights Fertilizer Aid for 2025 Yala.!

The Cabinet of Ministers has endorsed the provision of fertilizer assistance to farmers engaged in the 2025 ‘Yala’ cultivation season.

Based on a recommendation submitted by the Minister of Agriculture, Livestock, Lands, and Irrigation, the government will grant subsidies as follows:

• Rs. 25,000 per hectare for rice cultivation, up to a limit of two hectares.

• Rs. 15,000 per hectare for growing alternative field crops on paddy lands, as decided at seasonal meetings, up to a limit of two hectares.
