CSE Boosts Investor Confidence with Key 2025 Initiatives.!

The Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is building on its exceptional performance in 2024, when it ranked as the world’s second-best stock market in dollar terms. Despite early signs of market consolidation in 2025, CSE remains optimistic about investor activity.

CSE Chairman Dilshan Wirasekara highlighted that investor activity is fundamentally strong, and the exchange is not concerned about short-term market fluctuations. He emphasized that proper systems and controls are in place to ensure consistent liquidity and enable investors to enter or exit the market smoothly.

For 2025, the CSE is focusing on modernizing financial reporting, enhancing surveillance, and accelerating digital transformation. Initiatives like XBRL-based reporting and AI-driven surveillance are expected to improve transparency and detect abnormal trading activities.

With the goal of attracting foreign investors, CSE will host the Invest Sri Lanka Capital Market Investor Forum 2025 in Colombo, where leaders from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Maldives stock exchanges will share their expertise.

Wirasekara also positioned Sri Lanka as the most advanced market in South Asia, offering a compelling case for investment with top-tier systems, processes, and governance.
